CM Yogi said in UP Legislative Council, ‘UP has become Faith Zone from Fear Zone, no curfew, no riots’!

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while discussing the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address in the Legislative Council on Monday, made a sharp attack on the opposition and said that the state has transformed from ‘Fear Zone’ to ‘Faith Zone’. He said, “There is no curfew, no riots, but everything is fine in UP.”

CM Yogi termed the alleged indecent behavior towards the Governor in the House as against democratic norms and said that it is the responsibility of all of us to respect the constitutional head. He alleged that the conduct of the opposition reflects its negative thinking.

He said that in the last nine years, the state has traveled from crime and chaos to discipline, from curfew to rule of law, from disturbance to celebration and from distrust to confidence. The clear policy, clear intentions and decisive leadership of the double engine government has changed the direction of governance.

He claimed that there was no communal riot in the state after 2017. Earlier there was a situation like ‘one district one mafia’, goonda tax and illegal collection were common, whereas now zero tolerance policy is in force.

The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is emerging today as a model of ‘Technology, Trust and Transformation’. Referring to Prime Minister Modi, he said that the country is setting a new direction in the field of emerging technology and AI and Uttar Pradesh is also moving forward according to the same thinking.

He said that the state is now moving towards becoming a revenue surplus state and is becoming a center of investment, innovation and transparency. CM Yogi said, “Development based on heritage is the foundation stone of a bright future.” He alleged that Congress and Samajwadi Party insulted national symbols and places of faith in political interest.

He said that the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Kashi and rejuvenation of major pilgrimage sites of the state are symbols of new identity. Religious places are not only centers of faith but also centers of national consciousness.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the works related to cultural heritage including the memorial and university of Maharaja Suheldev, installation of the statue of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. Referring to the Mahakumbh and Magh Mela in Prayagraj, he said that the participation of crores of devotees is a proof of increased confidence in good governance and security. The state which was earlier known for riots, is today being recognized for Deepotsav, Dev Diwali and Rangotsav.

CM said that more than 2.19 lakh policemen were recruited in the last years, out of which 20 percent posts were reserved for women. The number of women policemen has increased from 10 thousand to more than 44 thousand.

He said that law and order has been strengthened with seven police commissionerates, cyber stations, forensic labs and modern policing model. There are 12 state-of-the-art forensic labs operating in the state and forensic vans have been arranged in all 75 districts. He also mentioned the revival of 34 companies of PAC and the formation of three women battalions – Veerangana Jhalkari Bai, Avanti Bai and Uda Devi.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has now emerged from the identity of fear, anarchy and distrust and has entered a new era of development, investment, faith and confidence.
