Before the theatrical release, ‘Battle of Galwan’ team’s special tribute, video dedicated to Army Heroes released
After getting a tremendous response to the teaser of ‘Battle of Galwan’, the team of the film has now brought a special video series for the audience. Salman Khan Films shares the stories of real Army veterans and their families. Through these videos, those families have been saluted who stand firmly behind every posting, every separation and every return.
In the first video, Ganvi Chadha, daughter of Colonel Maheep Singh Chadha of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles, is seen. His father fought the wars of 1965 and 1971. She says that at that time it was not easy to talk on the phone while deployed in the field area. Calls had to be booked through the local exchange and there was a long wait. The family members missed him a lot. Especially when his favorite food was prepared, his absence was felt more. Sitting together and eating the same food after returning home on vacation was the most special moment.
In the second video, Savinder Manchanda, wife of retired Lieutenant Colonel Jagdeep Manchanda of 16 Bihar Regiment, shares her experiences. She tells that when her husband’s unit was deployed in a sensitive area of Arunachal Pradesh, there was worry every day. The phone lines were not clear, but just hearing his voice was enough to give comfort.
In the third video, retired Lieutenant Colonel Jagdeep Manchanda himself is seen. He served the country from 1972 to 2003. He recalls his 32 years of military career with pride and respect. He also mentioned the difficult operations and the conflict in Galwan Valley.
This film is produced by Salma Khan and directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Chitrangada Singh is in an important role in this. ‘Battle of Galwan’ is an attempt to show bravery and family spirit on the big screen.
