What did the police say?

After this he strangled her, due to which the student became unconscious and died.

According to police sources, even after the murder, the accused remained in the room for several hours. He went out and brought liquor and kept drinking while sitting near the dead body. Later he changed his clothes and ran away. Meanwhile, a suspicious message was also sent to the family from the student’s phone that she would not return home, after which the phone was switched off.

How did the family and police become suspicious?
Investigation also revealed that the accused had sent private videos from the student’s phone to college groups and contacts. This made the family and police suspicious and the investigation was intensified. The accused later fled to Mumbai and broke the phone to destroy the evidence.

Police also found a place in Maharashtra where the accused had allegedly tried to perform activities like black magic. At present the forensic team is examining all the evidence including CCTV, digital data, rope and broken knife.
