China’s big decision, visa-free entry for 79 countries including Britain and Canada; Know the new rule of 30 days stay
China UK Canada Visa Free Entry: With the aim of promoting global tourism and giving new energy to international business relations, China has made major and important changes in its visa policy. The Chinese government has eased entry rules for citizens of many countries, further liberalizing its borders. In this series, from Tuesday, citizens of Britain and Canada will be allowed to enter China without visa.
This decision is being seen as China’s economic and diplomatic strategy through which it wants to accelerate tourism, investment and trade activities. With this new expansion, the total number of countries provided visa-free entry facility by China has now increased to 79.
Will be allowed to stay for 30 days
According to China’s new guidelines, citizens of these 79 countries can stay in China without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism, business meetings, exchange programs or to visit their friends and relatives. Beijing has significantly expanded eligibility for the program over the past two years to reduce barriers caused by complex visa processes.
Would have been better with Britain and Canada
Relations The decision to include Britain and Canada in the list comes after the visits of their Prime Ministers Keir Starmer and Mark Carney respectively to China last month. Both these leaders are trying to improve their countries’ strained relations with Beijing and establish trade rapport.
Which countries are getting this facility?
Countries with visa-free entry include most European countries. Along with this, this benefit has also been given to some selected countries of Latin America, South-East Asia and the Middle East. At the same time, citizens of countries like the United States and Indonesia will be allowed to ‘transit’ for 10 days. Visa-free entry is granted provided they have a departure ticket to a third country.

The facility is for a limited period
At the moment, this visa-free access for most countries is valid until the end of this year. However, China has extended such deadlines in the past, which is expected to continue in the future. The business community and tourists have welcomed this change, as China’s traditional visa process has been considered too cumbersome.
