Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme: Mamta government will give Rs 1500 every month to the youth
Before the 2026 assembly elections in West Bengal, state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a new scheme for the youth. The name of this scheme is Banglar Yuva Sathi Yojana. Its main objective is to provide financial support to the unemployed youth of the state, so that they do not suffer from lack of money during job search or skill development.
The government believes that many youth are looking for jobs after completing their studies, but due to financial pressure they have to do odd jobs. In such a situation, this scheme will help the youth in becoming self-reliant by providing them an assistance of Rs 1,500 every month. The scheme is expected to be implemented from April 1, 2026 and its amount will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
Banglar Yuva Sathi Yojana is a new welfare scheme of the Government of West Bengal, which aims to provide financial assistance to the unemployed youth of the state. This scheme has been announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee before the 2026 assembly elections. Under this scheme, eligible youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 1,500 every month, so that they do not suffer from lack of money during job search or skill development.
Applications in this scheme will start on 15th February 2026 and the last date of application is 26th February 2026. Between February 15 and 26, special camps will be organized in all 294 assembly constituencies of the state, where forms will be distributed and collected.
Go to the special registration camps set up in every assembly constituency and fill the form. Forms will be accepted only between 15th to 26th February. The sample application form can also be downloaded from the official website. The filled form will have to be submitted to the camp along with necessary documents.
Only those youth whose age is between 21 to 40 years, who have passed at least 10th, who are currently unemployed and who are residents of West Bengal can apply for this scheme. Those youth who are already taking benefit of any other welfare scheme of the state government cannot apply for this scheme. However, students who are availing the benefits of scholarship schemes can apply for this scheme.
According to the government, distribution of funds under the scheme will start from April 1, 2026. Earlier it was planned to start from August 15, but now it is being implemented earlier. Local people say that this scheme can prove especially helpful for students and unemployed youth. After completing studies, many youth prepare for jobs or take skill training. In such a situation, getting Rs 1,500 every month will help in their daily expenses.
