Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey raised the issue of public representatives not picking up their calls. He said that SP sometimes picks up the phone but SHO never picks up the phone. He alleged that the police station officers would sit and chat with the brokers but would not answer the phone. He said that it is not appropriate for the democratic system for the executive to dominate the legislature. In this context, he sought intervention from the bench and said that the dignity of the House is being disregarded.

In response to this, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that we have directed all the officers to answer the calls of all the public representatives. We are not with those who do not answer the phone. For this we have issued a government order.

Samajwadi Party MLA Kamal Akhtar also said that the situation has become such that even the ruling party MLAs have to sit on dharna. He said that the officials do not listen to anyone, due to which the MLAs of all parties are upset. He demanded that the government should make such arrangements that would ensure effective control over the bureaucracy.
