Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli Seek Blessings from Premanand Ji Maharaj During Vrindavan Visit

Actor Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli visited spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj at his ashram in Vrindavanseeking blessings during an early morning spiritual visit.


The couple reached Keli Kunj Ashram at around 5:30 am on Tuesday to participate in darshan and interact personally with the revered guru. Photos from the visit, which are now circulating widely on social media, show the couple dressed in traditional attire. Kohli wore a dhoti-kurta, while Sharma opted for a simple blue and white suit. Both wore tulsi malas and tilaks as they joined other devotees in chanting and prayers.

A Continuing Spiritual Association

This is not the first time the couple has visited Premanand Ji Maharaj’s ashram. In previous visits, they were seen seated before the spiritual leader with folded hands. During an earlier interaction, the guru spoke about the ultimate spiritual goal of meeting one’s creator and described the guiding relationship between a disciple and a guru as part of a continuing spiritual lineage. Sharma appeared emotional during the exchange and expressed her devotion.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli married in an intimate ceremony in Italy in December 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021 and their son, Akaay, in 2024. They have consistently maintained privacy regarding their children and have requested media outlets to respect their family’s boundaries.

Currently, the couple spends significant time in London and makes occasional public appearances in India. They were recently seen together in a Dubai Tourism advertisement that highlighted their on-screen chemistry.

Anushka Sharma’s Professional Journey

Anushka Sharma was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 film Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Although the film did not perform well commercially, Sharma has remained active as a producer, backing projects such as Bulbul and Start.

She was also expected to return to acting with Chakda Xpressa biographical film based on the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. However, the project was shelved. Fans continue to await her return to the screen.
