Australia is out of T-20 World Cup, Zimbabwe qualifies for Super-8; Know when there will be competition with India

T20 World Cup 2026: The match to be played between Ireland and Zimbabwe in Kandy has been canceled due to rain. Even the toss could not take place in the match. With this, former world champion Australia is out of the T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe has qualified for the Super-8, where it will also face India.

Rain spoiled the entire game in Pallekele and the match was abandoned without even a single ball being bowled. The biggest benefit of this went to Zimbabwe, who made it to the Super-8 and thus the journey of Australia and Ireland from the tournament ended.

Now Group G1 of Super-8 includes India, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe, whose matches will be played in India. Whereas in Group G2 there will be one team from Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and Pakistan or United States. The matches of this group will be played in Colombo and Pallekele.

There is one more match left in the tournament, where Nepal and Scotland will end their campaign with the match to be held at Wankhede Stadium.
