We can destroy Washington’s power, Khamenei’s historic message to Trump, nuclear talks started in Geneva…
When talks on the nuclear dispute between Iran and America resumed in Geneva on Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a strong challenge to US President Donald Trump. Rejecting Trump’s claims of military dominance, he said that “even the most powerful military in the world can end badly.”
Let us tell you, this statement came when representatives of Washington and Tehran started “indirect talks”, the aim of which was to resolve the pending nuclear dispute between the two countries.
According to a report, senior US representatives including Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner were talking to Iranian officials in Geneva today. During this meeting, Khamenei one after another challenged Trump’s claims of military dominance, saying, “The Americans always say that they have the strongest military in the world, but this military can sometimes be attacked so strongly that it cannot stand again.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also reacted to the increased US Navy presence. He said, “The Americans say that they have sent a warship towards Iran, but what is more dangerous than this warship is the weapon that can send that warship into the depths of the sea.”
Let us tell you, Iran’s Supreme Leader rejected the American threats and said, “For 47 years, America has not been able to destroy the Islamic Republic, and I say, you will not be able to do the same.” In this statement he cited the historical strength of Iran.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump gave a stern warning about the “consequences of not making a deal” before the indirect talks. He said Iran is a “tough negotiator”, but the Iranian leadership should understand that it is better to make a deal to eliminate nuclear capabilities rather than increase US military power.
This diplomatic move follows failed earlier efforts, including rounds of nuclear talks held in Muscat and Rome in April 2025. Iran had strongly condemned the attacks carried out by America at that time and called them a violation of international law.
Now, the US has increased the deployment of its maritime and air assets in the Middle East, while Iran has also announced its preparations for a retaliatory strike. Tehran says it will not tolerate threats and will not accept such behavior during talks.
