Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch : India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has finally launched its first electric SUV e VITARA car in the Indian market. The price of this car is 10.99 lakhs. This car pricing is based on Battery-as-a-Service i.e. BaaS model. That means you have to pay separately for the battery. The battery of this car can be taken separately on rent. Customers can book this car for just Rs 21,000.

What is the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model?

In this new model of Maruti Suzuki car, customers will not have to pay the full cost of the battery while purchasing the battery. Instead they will have to pay the base price (Rs 10.99) and a battery charge of Rs 3.99 per kilometer. That means customers will have to pay as much as they drive. The company says that it has been designed in such a way to make electric vehicles more affordable and convenient.

Such a design of the car will allow customers to buy the e VITARA at a lower price. It also avoids huge upfront costs for batteries at the outset. No worries about battery maintenance. Due to this, customers will be able to think concretely about this car. This model can be particularly beneficial for first-time electric vehicle buyers.

Unique look of the car

The e VITARA looks similar to the old Vitara SUV on the outside but has been given an electric touch. Up front, three point matrix LED DRLs are paired with the headlights. The bumper is finished in piano black. The rear features sculpted three-point matrix LED tail laps and a bold 3D profile. So the car projection looks futuristic and modern. But still the Maruti doesn’t seem to deviate from its old SUV styling.
