New Delhi: After almost four years, the sequel of ‘The Kerala Story’ has again made headlines. The trailer of ‘The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond’ has been released recently. Produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah, this film has been directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh. As soon as the trailer was launched, a debate broke out on social media. The Kerala Story 2 Trailer

The trailer is three minutes long and is tense from the beginning. In this, a voiceover warns that India may be governed by Sharia law in the next 25 years. The story is of three different states. In Rajasthan, the parents of a 16-year-old girl file a POCSO case, where there are allegations of religious conversion and marriage. In Madhya Pradesh, a girl has been shown being pressured into a relationship to change her religion.

In Kerala and parts of South India, a Muslim journalist convinces his Hindu girlfriend to live-in, but is later pressured to change her religion. The helplessness, loneliness and struggle of the girls are shown in the trailer. The makers have written, "This time we will not tolerate… we will fight."

The truth of three different states

The first film was focused only on Kerala, but in this sequel the story is spread across the country. Three Hindu girls from different states whose relationship takes a scary turn. Sensitive issues like conversion, love jihad have been raised in the film. The makers claim that it is based on real events and the story is no longer limited to just one state.

The film will be released on 27th February

In the first film, Ada Sharma was in the lead role, but this time there are new faces. Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha are in lead roles. These three are playing the roles of girls. Vipul Amritlal Shah is the producer and director is Kamakhya Narayan Singh. This film will hit the theaters on 27th February.

Opinion divided on social media

#TheKeralaStory2GoesBeyond started trending as soon as the trailer was released. Some users have "Brutal Truth" Said and supported. Many said that such films are needed. On the other hand, people are calling it propaganda before the elections.

Some questioned the title. "Where is Kerala?" And expressed regret over the absence of Ada Sharma. The controversy is similar to the first film, where legal challenges were raised. The first film did well at the box office and won National Awards, but also faced political opposition.
