New Delhi. Indian auto sector giant Maruti Suzuki has finally made its much-awaited entry in the electric car market. The company has launched its first electric SUV, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, in the Indian market. With an attractive starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and a modern Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) model, Maruti has posed a tough challenge to companies like Tata and Mahindra. This SUV is not only a new chapter for Maruti, but can prove to be a game-changer in the mid-size electric SUV segment.

Price and Booking: Bring home your first electric Maruti for ₹21,000

Maruti has opened the booking window for its first electric car.

Booking Amount: Customers can book it by paying a token amount of just Rs 21,000.

Budget Friendly Plan: The company has introduced a ‘battery-as-a-service’ model, in which customers can buy the car without the battery and opt for an EMI of Rs 3.99 per kilometer for the battery.

Limited Time Offer: These starting prices announced by the company are valid only till March 31, 2026.

Powertrain and Range: 543 KM range on a single charge

The e-Vitara is built on the HEARTECT-e platform specifically designed for electric vehicles. It offers two battery pack options:

49 kWh Battery: This variant generates power of 144 hp and gives an estimated range of 440 kilometers on a full charge.

61 kWh battery: The variant with larger battery gives power of 174 hp and its range is up to 543 kilometers.

USP: Both the variants generate 189 Nm of torque, which makes it strong for both city and highway.

The interior of E-Vitara is no less than a premium luxury car. It offers the best combination of modern technology and comfort:
