Lindsey Vonn gives health update after suffering crash at 2026 Olympics

American Olympian Lindsey Vonn has returned home after crashing out of the event.

The 2026 Winter Olympics began in Milan on February 6 and are set to go on till Febryary 22.

Lindsey is a professional skier who unfortunately crashed suffering a serious injury that ruled her out of the event.

After returning home to US, she shared an update on X on February 17.

The 41-year-old said “being back on home soil feels amazing”.

Giving an update on the February 8 crash, she said she had not “stood on my feet in over a week… been in a hospital bed immobile since my race.”

She added that she is “not yet able to stand,” but is happy to be back home.

Lindsey also added words of gratitude to the staff in Italy who took care of her after the incident.

She suffered a complex tibia fracture during the women’s downhill event.

The skier was only 13 seconds into her run when the incident happened and soon after she was airlifted from the course.
