BJP attacked Congress and said, neither leaders nor allies trust

Turmoil in Congress party, BJP raised questions

New Delhi. Monday was full of many problems for the Congress party. Prominent leader Mani Shankar Aiyar raised his voice against the party high command, while former Assam president Bhupen Bora resigned from the party. In his resignation letter, Bora accused the party leadership of ignoring him. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started raising questions on Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, terming him a ‘failed scion’ and saying that neither party leaders nor allies trust him.

BJP’s sharp reaction

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala took a dig at the ongoing turmoil in the Congress party. He said, “Trinamool Congress wants to remove Rahul and bring in Mamata. The resignation of Assam Congress leader Bhupen Bora also reflects this situation. Mani Shankar Aiyar has said that Congress is losing in Kerala.” His statement proves that not only the leaders of the Gandhi family but also other members of the party do not take Rahul Gandhi seriously.

Voices are being raised within Congress

While Bhupen Bora withdrew his resignation, the Congress party made it clear regarding Mani Shankar Aiyar’s statement that he is no longer in the party and his statement cannot be linked to the party. Aiyar had said that he was confident that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan would remain in his post. In the reaction from the Congress, taking the name of Iyer, it was said that only Mallikarjun Kharge can expel him from the party.

BJP’s aggressive stance

Taking advantage of this situation of Congress party, BJP did not leave any opportunity to attack. “Congress leaders have completely rejected Rahul Gandhi. Mani Shankar Aiyar has publicly rejected him,” spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari wrote on social media. He said that Iyer and other leaders are openly speaking against Rahul Gandhi, which is a matter of concern for the party.

Former Congress MP Mani Shankar Aiyar’s statement created a stir in the party, in which he targeted leaders like Pawan Kheda and Shashi Tharoor. In this context, there was a strong reaction from the Congress party, which noted Aiyar’s distance from the party. Iyer had said that his position in politics is clear, he is associated with Nehru and Rajiv, but not with Rahul Gandhi.
