Bengaluru, 17 February 2026: Tech city Bengaluru is once again going to shine on the global stage. Bengaluru-based AI infrastructure company Bharat1.AI on Tuesday made an ambitious announcement of setting up the country’s first humanity-first AI city. The main objective of this project is to provide a comprehensive platform for AI model training, fine-tuning and inference. Under this scheme, ‘B1 AI Superpark’ spread over 5 lakh square feet will be built in Sarjapur area of Bengaluru. This campus will become the center of modern AI research and innovation.
High-speed connectivity up to 400 GBPS will be available here. Sub-millisecond latency facility will be available with the cloud platform, so that there is no hindrance in data processing. The target is to employ more than 10,000 AI researchers and innovators here by the end of this year. Reputed institutions of India will join this project as research partners, which mainly include IIT Kanpur (आईरावत Research Foundation and गुष्ठानी School of AI), IISc (Safety, Privacy and AI Research Center – SPARC), BITS Pilani, iSPIRT Foundation and IIT Ropar.
Umakant Soni, co-founder and CEO of Bharat1.AI, said, “It can be dangerous to implement AI systems on a large scale without testing them in complex real-world environments. Our aim is to create AI systems that are safe, trustworthy and in line with human values.”
On the other hand, ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’, the largest AI conference of the Global South, has entered its second day. More than 20 heads of state, 60 ministers and more than 500 global AI experts are participating in this five-day conference, which will run till February 20. Over the next 36 months, this superpark will be transformed into a complete ‘AI City Testbed’, which will provide a platform for global organizations to test AI systems at the urban level.
