Malvani Police of Mumbai has registered a very sensational case. A father allegedly tried to rape his own minor daughter several times. The victim alleges that the accused father used to try to intimidate her by showing her a knife. When the victim narrated her ordeal to her elder sister, the father allegedly beat her sisters.
According to Mumbai TV’s video report on YouTube channel, Omar Shaikh, who worked on contract at BEST in Malvani, had an evil eye on his daughter after the death of his wife. According to the victim, after her mother’s death, her father used to try to force her and touch her inappropriately. Apart from this, the complainant told that the accused’s brother Jamaluddin Sheikh also used to support Omar Sheikh. According to the report, Jamaluddin Shaikh threatened the victim and her elder sister and said, “He is your father, whatever he does, he will do the right thing. If you want to stay at home, bear everything.” Jamaluddin also threatened the victim and her elder sister and said that they should remain silent, otherwise they will be thrown out of the house.
The victim’s elder sister revealed that Umar Shaikh also threatened her and said that if she complained to anyone, he would make the lives of both the sisters ‘harm’. The girls have accused Omar Sheikh that despite his wife being alive, their relationship was not good. Umar Sheikh used to take medicines, if he protested against it, he was threatened with marrying another wife.
According to the victim’s sister, when the victim complained to the police, she did not get timely justice; on the contrary, she was advised to resolve it at home by calling it a domestic matter. An allegation has also been made that once the accused and the victim were called to the police station and interrogated and sent back home. The victim’s sister claims that uncle Jamaluddin’s name has also been registered in the FIR along with father Omar Sheikh, while the police has still not taken any action against Jamaluddin.
According to the complainant, Umar’s friends come to the house of the victim and her sister to support their father. According to the victim, Umar’s friends say, ‘Let him do whatever your father does, he is your father only.’
After the complaint, Malvani police has arrested the accused Umar Sheikh.
