Delegation level talks in Mumbai, emphasis on strengthening strategic cooperation

Mumbai Prime Minister Narendra Modi President of France in Mumbai on Tuesday Emmanuel Macron Had an important delegation level meeting with. The objective of this meeting was to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and France. In the talks held at Maharashtra Lok Bhawan, both the leaders, leading their respective delegations, discussed many topics including defence, security, economy and global issues.
This meeting was held during President Macron’s fourth visit to India. Expressing happiness over meeting President Macron, Prime Minister Modi wrote on social media platform X that he was very happy to meet his friend in Mumbai. He told that President Macron liked Mumbai very much and he also enjoyed the morning run.

During his visit to Mumbai, President Macron was seen jogging early in the morning. French and Indian officers and security personnel were present with him. During this time, the attention of local people and media also fell on him, due to which this moment became a topic of discussion.
Tribute paid to the victims of 26/11
During his visit, President Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron paid tribute to the victims of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. This gesture is being considered a symbol of the joint commitment of both the countries against terrorism.
On this occasion, President Macron emphasized on the shared values between India and France like democracy, peace and global stability. He said that cooperation between the two countries is continuously strengthening and this partnership will reach new heights in future.
New direction to strategic relationships
India and France already have strong cooperation in areas such as defence, maritime security, space, energy and trade. This meeting is being considered an important step towards further deepening the relations between the two countries.
