Malihabad- Malihabad (Lucknow) Initiative of Read: Journalist Rahul Kumar got the drain on the road cleaned in the interest of the public, exposed the corrupt administration: The active role of Read newspaper in raising the problems of the people at the local level and getting them resolved has once again come to the fore. The drain that was flowing on the road for years in Ataura village on Datli-Paharpur road has now been cleaned. This commendable work was done by Read journalist Rahul Kumar by installing JCB machine, which took more than 3 hours.
During this time, journalist Rahul Kumar not only got the drain flowing on the road completely cleaned, but also dug a shallow kutcha drain about 30 meters deep and also ensured the cleaning of about 60 meters of damaged drain. On the demand of former Pradhan Dinesh Kumar and all the villagers of the area, this work was done in the public interest, due to which the local people will now get a lot of relief in commuting. Here the question arises that why were the blind, deaf and corrupt officers and employees of Malihabad not getting this work done? Neither the news being published makes any difference to them nor any action is taken on giving written application.

The entire road from Purva to Paharpur has already been damaged, due to which the villagers have to face problems on a daily basis. In such a situation, the responsibility of the government-administration and local officials was fulfilled by a conscious journalist. This effort of journalist Rahul Kumar is not only commendable, but also shows that true journalism is not limited to just reporting news, but also provides solutions to the problems.
The administration of Malihabad should feel embarrassed that a journalist has to do the work which is his duty. Read will always stand with the public and will leave no stone unturned in highlighting such problems and getting them resolved. Local villagers have greatly appreciated this initiative and have expressed hope that such work will continue in future also.
