Two Pakistani escapees arrested in Ambala within 24 hours; Mastermind criminal still at large
Within 24 hours of their escape from the RS Pura Juvenile Home, the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police, in coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, arrested two Pakistani nationals from Ambala in Haryana.
The Haryana STF, along with Ambala Police, achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending two of the three accused who had escaped from the RS Pura Juvenile Home in Jammu and Kashmir. The duo was arrested from the premises of Ambala Railway Station and later handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir Police for further action.
Providing details of the case, STF SP Vikrant Bhushan and DSP Aman said that three accused had recently escaped from the juvenile home, including two Pakistani nationals and one Indian citizen. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Sana-ullah (20) and Ahsan Anwar (21), both residents of Pakistan. According to the STF, one of them had been lodged in the juvenile home since 2019, and the other since 2021.

The third accused, Karamjeet alias Gugga, an Indian citizen, is believed to be the mastermind behind the conspiracy. Preliminary investigations indicate that he orchestrated the escape and was allegedly planning to facilitate the exit of the two Pakistani nationals from the country through the Nepal border via Uttar Pradesh.
Karamjeet alias Gugga is currently absconding, and alerts have been issued in several states to trace and arrest him.
The STF received intelligence inputs regarding the movement of the accused, following which surveillance was intensified at Ambala Railway Station. Acting on suspicious movements, the team swiftly apprehended both individuals.
Officials said the interrogation of the accused is expected to yield significant leads. After completing the necessary formalities, both were handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, where they will be taken on remand for further in-depth questioning.
Following the incident, security has been tightened at the railway station and the surrounding areas. Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Police are maintaining close coordination. SP Vikrant Bhushan termed the arrests a major success and expressed confidence that the third accused would be arrested soon.
As reported earlier, two Pakistani nationals and a local gangster escaped from the Juvenile Observation Home in the RS Pura area of Jammu on Monday evening after allegedly attacking police personnel on guard duty.

The trio assaulted the on-duty guards at around 5:05 pm and managed to flee from the facility. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras. The escapees are also suspected of fleeing with a pistol.
During the attack, SPO Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Parveen Kumar sustained injuries and were shifted for medical treatment.
In connection with the incident, six police personnel were suspended for alleged dereliction of duty after the three inmates—two Pakistani nationals and a local gangster—escaped from the juvenile facility in the RS Pura sector of Jammu division.
The escape occurred around 5:15 pm on Monday when Karamjeet Singh alias Gugga, a resident of Dablehar, along with Pakistani nationals Mohammad Sana-ullah and Ahsan Anwar, allegedly attacked on-duty personnel and fled the facility. Two police personnel were injured during the incident. Authorities said an Assistant Sub-Inspector was among the six officials placed under suspension pending a departmental inquiry into security lapses and the circumstances surrounding the escape.
Following the incident, special police teams launched raids at multiple locations as part of an intensified search operation. A case has been registered under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including attempt to murder, assault on a public servant, escape from lawful custody, organised crime, and relevant sections of the Arms Act.

Senior officers, including Nalin Prabhat and Bhim Sen Tuti, visited the site, while investigators are examining possible conspiracy angles and probing how the inmates allegedly obtained a country-made pistol inside the facility.
A video purportedly showing the gangster firing shots inside the facility circulated on social media, raising public concern. Former DGP S.P. Vaid questioned the incident, noting that the three inmates were no longer juveniles and suggesting they might attempt to cross the border.
Singh had earlier been arrested in connection with the murder of rival gang leader Sumit Jandiyal alias “Gataru” in Jammu last year and had been lodged in the juvenile facility thereafter.
