As the investigation in the road accident in Dwarka, Delhi progresses, many important things have come to light. 23 year old Sahil Dineshra lost his life in this accident. According to Delhi Police sources, when the FIR was initially registered in this case, the age of the accused was mentioned as 19 years. But later during scrutiny of the documents it was found that the accused was a minor. After this, the police took immediate action and caught him and presented him before the Juvenile Justice Board.

Secret revealed in document verification

Police officials say that the age was recorded on the basis of preliminary information. But when the school and other important documents were scrutinized, the real age came to light. As soon as it was confirmed that the accused was a minor, the process of the case changed and it was taken forward under the child justice system.

Notice to father, kept in custody for 24 hours

In the Dwarka accident case, the police also sent a notice to the father of the accused. After receiving the notice, the father joined the investigation and presented his side. The police kept him in custody for about 24 hours, recorded his statement and then released him. At present the father has not been arrested.

Action will be taken under Motor Vehicle Act

According to police sources, action will be taken against the accused’s father under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicle Act. According to the rules, if a minor is involved in an accident while driving his father or guardian’s car, then the guardian is also held responsible for it. In such cases, Section 199A is added to the charge sheet and the court decides on further punishment or fine.

It is being told that the father of the accused is a transporter from Dwarka. Police say that the investigation of the case is going on and further legal action will be taken keeping all the aspects in mind.
