Ranchi: An all-party meeting was held on Tuesday regarding the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly starting from February 18. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav, AJSU MLA Nirmal Mahato etc. were present in the meeting chaired by Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato.

Discussion was held on the proceedings of 23 February

In this meeting held in the speaker room, the proceedings regarding the municipal elections on February 23 were discussed. Besides, a demand was made for a special discussion on the increasing elephant menace and mining in the state in recent times. In the meeting, it was decided to hold the debate on the supplementary budget on February 21 instead of the House proceedings regarding municipal elections on February 23. Due to which, despite it being Saturday, this time the proceedings of the House will be held on 21st February. This decision will be taken in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee to be held after the House proceedings on February 18.
There should be special discussion on elephant attack and mining: AJSU MLA

AJSU MLA Nirmal Mahato said that a demand has been made for a special discussion on elephant menace and mining. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi said that the decision on the change in the agenda will be taken in the business advisory meeting. It is noteworthy that the budget session will formally start on February 18. After this, there will be a motion of thanks and debate on the Governor’s address on February 19.
