Rajpal Yadav released from Tihar, the businessman who gave the loan expressed his pain, said – ‘Begged to return the money’

The debt related issue of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has become very deep. The actor had to surrender in Tihar Jail on 5 February on the orders of the court. He remained in jail for 12 days. Then he was granted interim bail. He had filed a petition for interim bail citing his niece’s marriage. The court released him after depositing Rs 1.5 crore. Meanwhile, the pain of the loan giving businessman has now spread. He told that he had to plead with the actor. Still the money was not received.

In fact, businessman Madhav Gopal Aggarwal, who gave the loan to Rajpal, recently spoke to News Pinch and in the same conversation, he told how the loan was given to him. He told the entire story of the case that was going on for 16 years and said that he had met Rajpal through former MP Mithilesh Kumar Katheria.

Madhav Gopal mentioned the agreement

According to the businessman, actor Rajpal Yadav had sought financial help from Madhav Gopal for the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’ in 2012 and told him that it was almost completed, but without immediate funding, the movie would sink. Madhav also claimed that he had given the money strictly as a loan and not for investment. Madhav said that it was clearly written in the agreement that the payment would not be linked to the film’s earnings, censor certificate or release. The businessman told that there was a fixed amount and fixed timeline in this agreement. Rajpal had also given personal guarantee for this.

Madhav begged Rajpal for money

Not only this, Madhav Gopal told that he went to Rajpal’s house and cried in front of him like a child. He told the actor that he had helped him by borrowing from others. He had also asked the actor to inform him by the date of payment or finalize a new agreement. Aggarwal said that he kept begging him for money. Aggarwal says that later he was asked for more funds but he refused, after which his wife Radha sent him emotional messages and requested for help. After this he agreed.

How did the controversy start?

Aggarwal also told how the controversy started. He tells that when Amitabh Bachchan launched the music of the film, he remembered the agreement that the negatives and earnings of the film had to be handed over after completion. Then he approached the court and the release of the film was temporarily banned. However, later the stay on this was lifted. Rajpal Yadav assured him that the dues would be paid after release but the film proved to be a flop at the box office and the promise could not be fulfilled. Then the money was never received.

Settlement was done with Rs 10.40 crore

Aggarwal approached the court in 2013, after which the case was settled for Rs 10.40 crore. Many checks were issued and bounced. Due to repeated defaults, he was left with no option but to take the legal route. Aggarwal also said that he is a businessman. He has no interest in anyone’s destruction. They just want their money back.
