‘Bharat Vistaar’ and AI for Agriculture Roadmap launched in Durgapura, Jaipur, Rajasthan moves towards technological revolution in agriculture

Today, the land of Rajasthan is creating a golden history of agricultural prosperity with the confluence of hard work, technology and innovation. Taking an important step in this direction, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma today launched ‘Bharat Vistar’, AI Hackathon, Agri Fund and ‘AI for Agriculture Roadmap’ with Honorable Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Durgapura, Jaipur.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma said that this initiative is in line with the vision of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which aims to bridge the gap between technology and Annadata. He said that it is the priority of the government to provide accurate and timely information to the farmers through modern technology.

The Chief Minister said that under this new initiative, now from seed selection to crop marketing, from weather forecast to information about government schemes, every necessary information will reach directly into the hands of the farmer. This will make farming more scientific, more profitable and more powerful. He expressed confidence that Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solutions will play an important role in increasing the income of farmers and reducing agricultural risks.

Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is the need of the hour to connect the country’s agricultural system with modern technology. He said that ‘AI for Agriculture Roadmap’ will open doors to new possibilities for farmers. Initiatives like ‘Bharat Vistaar’ and ‘Agri Kosh’ will strengthen data-based decision making in the agriculture sector, thereby increasing both productivity and transparency.

Through the AI ​​Hackathon organized in the program, youth and technical experts will get an opportunity to present solutions to the challenges of the agricultural sector. This will encourage innovation and startups will also get a platform to contribute to the agriculture sector.

The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is an agricultural state and the farmers here are a symbol of hard work and patience. The state government is continuously making efforts to empower the farmers technically. He said that this initiative will pave the way for agriculture to move beyond traditional methods and enter the digital and data-based era.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Bhagirath Chaudhary along with other distinguished public representatives, officials and a large number of farmer brothers and sisters were present. The farmers present in the program welcomed this initiative and called it useful for future farming.

In the end, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that through technology, new energy will be infused into the agriculture sector and the goal of ‘Developed India’ along with ‘Developed Rajasthan’ will also be strengthened. This initiative will prove to be a historic step towards making farmers self-reliant and empowered.
