Robert Fuller Jr., an 87-year-old millionaire philanthropist and retired lawyerwas shot and killed on Valentine’s Day inside the Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility in Potomac, Maryland. Officials confirmed his death is being investigated as a homicide, and no arrests have been made so far.

Robert G. Fuller Jr. built his reputation as a successful attorney in Mainepracticing law for more than three decades before retiring. He also served as a senior officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve during his lifetime and authored at least one novel titled Unnatural Deaths.

Fuller was widely recognized for his generous contributions to community causes, especially in the Augusta, Maine area. The Shooting in Maryland
On February 14, 2026Montgomery County Police responded to a medical emergency call at the Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility around 7:34 a.m. First responders found Fuller unresponsive in his apartment with significant head trauma. Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Subsequent investigations determined that he had been shot, and the case is being treated as a homicide.
