Now BPL families in the state will be able to get free solar panels installed on their rooftops. This means that during the day, fans, bulbs and other appliances in the house will be able to run directly on the energy of the sun and the hassle of electricity bills will almost be eliminated.
The objective of the government is not only to provide economic relief but also to promote the use of clean and green energy. This scheme will not only reduce electricity costs but will also have a positive impact on the environment. There is no need to visit any government office to avail the benefits of this scheme. Interested families can apply from home through the mobile app ‘Suvidha’.
The key steps to apply are as follows:
1.Download “Suvidha App” from Google Play Store.
2.Select “Consent for Solar Panel Installation (Kutir Jyoti)” option in the app.
3 After this, enter the consumer number and verify with OTP.
4.Upload BPL card or other eligibility certificate and identity card.
5 .After this, fill the photo or area details of your roof and submit the application.
At the same time, families who cannot use smartphones can go to the nearest divisional office or Vasudha Center and seek free assistance. You can also install solar panels on the roof of your house. Guidelines have been issued in this regard.
After installation of solar panels, the dependence of these families on grid electricity will be reduced to a great extent and monthly expenses will be minimal. This initiative by the Bihar government is not only a financial relief for poor families but also a big step towards green energy. This will increase the use of clean energy in the state and will provide relief from the worry of electricity bill.
