Encroachment by street vendors at Red Fort bus stand is inviting a major accident.

New DelhiThe historical heritage Red Fort is a major attraction for thousands of tourists coming from across the country and the world. Here the main road right in front of the Red Fort and the surrounding areas are victims of encroachment. The situation is such that the entire area is under the control of street vendors. Illegal shopkeepers keep occupying this route from morning till 10 pm. The surprising thing is that many senior officers also pass through this route, yet the situation remains the same.

People say that if someone wants to go through this route, he has to remain stuck in the traffic jam for hours and there is neither anyone to see nor hear. The biggest irony is that even the Red Fort bus stand has been taken over by street vendors. There is no place left for the passengers to stop at the bus stand. Due to the street vendors, even the bus drivers do not stop the bus here. In case of emergency, if the ambulance has to pass through this route, then the condition of the patient worsens in the ambulance itself.

It is noteworthy that recently a terrorist attack had taken place at this same place in which more than a dozen people had died. Despite this, the street vendors are not learning the lessons. People allege that a whole system works behind the occupation of these street vendors, which includes people from mafia and public representatives to MCD and Delhi Police. These people are taking money from street vendors and selling even some parts of the footpath and road. Because of this, action is not being taken against encroachment.

Passenger says: Passenger Ashok Mandal said that the street vendors have taken over the bus stand in such a way that you cannot even stand. This causes a lot of trouble. Besides, there is a lot of difficulty in boarding the bus. Bus drivers do not even stop the bus because they do not see passengers at the bus stand. Passenger Ravi says that despite having a bus stand, one has to stand outside in the sun and rain.

You cannot even stand near the bus stand because the shops there are already crowded and there is also a crowd of passengers boarding the bus. That is why the bus drivers do not stop the bus. They think that everyone has come here to buy goods from the shop. There are no passengers.
