Madhya Pradesh’s budget of Rs 4.38 lakh crore presented, emphasis on development and youth
Mp news: Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented a budget of Rs 4,38,317 crore for the financial year 2026-27 in the Assembly on Wednesday. This budget was presented amidst continuous interruptions and sloganeering by the opposition members. Congress expressed concern over the increasing debt and economic pressure of the state.
Mp news: Chief Minister appreciated the budget
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that this budget is focused on all-round and inclusive development. He said that the state has resolved to make a prosperous Madhya Pradesh by 2047. The Chief Minister said: ₹900 crore for repairing damaged bridges, provision of ₹13,800 crore for Simhastha Utsav, ₹6,600 crore in five years for providing food and milk to children in schools, about ₹24,000 crore for Mukhyamantri Ladli Brahmin Yojana, ₹28,000 crore for rural employment and livelihood, he clarified that no scheme is being discontinued, but adequate funding has been made in all the schemes.
Focus on youth and employment also
Mp news: The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is the third youngest state in the country, hence special provisions have been made for the employment of youth. Work is going on in all areas of development in the state: airports, new roads and greenfield projects, new colleges, schools and hospitals, tent city and home stay development for religious and foreign tourism, fencing in rural areas for the protection of animals in the forests.
