Pakistan vs Namibia: Sahibzada Farhan’s 100 lands Shaheens in Super 8

Pakistan has officially secured their place in the Super 8 stage of the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The Shaheens were coming from a disappointing loss against India on February 15 and to keep their hopes for the title alive, they had to win the match against Namibia.

The two sides took the field on February 18 in the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground, Colombo.

After winning the toss, the Pakistani captain decided to bat first.

Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub opened for Pakistan. While Saim scored only 14 off 12 balls, it was Farhan who stole the show.

Farhan came in crashing with a quickfire 100 achieving his maiden T20I century off just 58 balls at a strike rate of 172.

Skipper Salman Ali Agha and all-rounder Shadab Khan’s quick 38 and 36 cruised Pakistan to a score of 199 at the loss of 3 wickets.

To win Namibia needed 200 runs in 20 overs however, their batting begin with an immediate collapse.

Opener Loureen Steenkamp fell for just 23 and fellow-batter Jan Frylink only scored 9.

The Pakistani bowlers wrapped Namibian batting line up for and secured their place in the next round.
