Ranji Final: Karnataka qualified due to the huge score of 802, big fight with Jammu in the final
Lucknow. Thanks to the brilliant century of Smaran Ravichandran (127), Karnataka scored 299 runs for six wickets in the second innings against Uttarakhand on the fourth day on Wednesday, taking its lead to 802 runs and securing a place in the Ranji final. Karnataka will face Jammu and Kashmir in the final, which earlier defeated Bengal by six wickets in the second semi-final.
Karnataka had scored 736 runs in the first innings and got a huge lead of 503 runs by bowling out Uttarakhand for 233 runs. Karnataka decided not to follow Uttarakhand and play in the second innings.
Karnataka scored 299 runs for six wickets at stumps and took their total lead beyond 800 runs. In the morning, Uttarakhand advanced its innings to 149 runs for five wickets.
Aditya Rawat scored unbeaten 45 runs. Vidyadhar Patil and Vijaykumar Vyashak took three wickets each. Karnataka had lost four wickets for 122 runs in its second innings but Ravichandran scored 127 runs and Lokesh Rahul scored 70 not out, taking Karnataka to 299 runs by the end of the day.
