Ishan Kishan dominates ICC T20 rankings, explosive entry in top-10 Gujarati
New Delhi, 18 February 2026: The latest T20 rankings have been announced by the International Cricket Council, in which the dominance of Indian batsmen has been seen. The biggest jump in this ranking has been registered by Ishan Kishan, who has entered the top-10 leaving behind 17 batsmen. On the other hand, despite being out for zero in two consecutive matches in the T20 World Cup, young batsman Abhishek Sharma continues to be the world’s number-1 batsman.
According to the latest ranking, Abhishek Sharma remains at the first position with 891 rating points. The surprising thing is that Abhishek could not even open his account in the matches against USA and Ireland, yet his place is safe on the basis of old points. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan has reached 8th position with a huge jump of 17 places. Also, the fill stall at the second position remains the same. Pathum Nissanka is at third place, Tilak Verma is at fourth place and Suryakumar Yadav is at sixth place.
Varun Chakraborty’s dominance has been seen in the bowling rankings. Indian spinner Varun Chakraborty is still at number-1 position in the list of T20 bowlers. While Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has reached second position with the gain of one place. While Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed is third and England’s Adil Rashid is fourth. Also, Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans has achieved 5th position by defeating 10 players who are making great progress.
A big change has been seen in the list of all-rounders. Pakistan’s Sam Ayyub has become the world’s number-1 all-rounder, leaving behind Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza. While India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya remains at the third position. On the other hand, Nepal’s Deependra Singh Erie has reached fourth position with a gain of two places after his excellent performance against Scotland. This ranking shows that the competition between form and rating points will become more exciting in the upcoming matches. Especially after the World Cup performance, big changes may be seen again in this ranking next week.
