Barack Obama and Steph Curry steal the show at 2026 NBA All-Star Game
The 2026 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles witnessed star-studded entries from Obamas and Currys.
Former President Barack Obama, with his wife Michelle and daughter Sasha, joined NBA legend Stephen Curry for a night of hoops and highlights.
The sporting event was scheduled at Intuit Dome on February 15. The night was an epic show of high-stakes basketball with a rare public glimpse of the former First Family.
The Obamas sat courtside next to legend Julius Erving, looking relaxed in smart-casual attire. Michelle Obama shared the family’s joy on social media, posting a photo with the caption, “My favourite teammates on and off the court.”
Barack Obama expressed his excitement over the game’s competitive energy, saying, “There’s a lot of concern about the All-Star Game and not seeing effort. Today we are seeing that effort.”
The former president also highlighted his passion for the sport, mentioning that his upcoming presidential center will include a basketball court because “sports is an entryway for kids to participate, to build community, to create some joy.”
Though Stephen Curry sat out the game due to a sore knee, he remained a focal point of the night. He was spotted sharing a warm moment and snapping photos with the former President.
Reflecting on the event’s purpose, Curry remarked, “I just really feel like this is a great weekend to bring so many people together and help push the game forward.”
The night ended on a high note as the “USA Stars” defeated the “USA Stripes,” with Anthony Edwards taking home the MVP trophy.
