India defeated Netherlands by 17 runs in this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium. With this win, India remained unbeaten in Group A. India won the toss and batted first and scored 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. The Netherlands team could score only 176 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets. Varun Chakraborty took the most 3 wickets for India.

After winning the toss and batting first, the Indian team got off to a disappointing start. India’s explosive opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for the third time in a row. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma then saved the team with a partnership of 39 runs, while Ishan Kishan departed with 18 runs. Tilak Verma then departed after scoring 31 runs off 27 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav contributed 34 runs off 28 balls. Shivam Dubey and Hardik Pandya then formed a partnership to shape the team’s score. Shivam Dubey scored 66 off 31 balls.
