The Galgotias University located in Uttar Pradesh state of India has taken over the internet for all the wrong reasons.

The private university in india was booted from a top artificial intelligence summit in New Delhi on Wednesday after they claimed to own a robot that was originally made by china.

A staff member of the institute displayed a commercially available robotic dog made in China and claimed that it was made by the Galgotias.

As per the Government official, the institute was ordered to take down its stand at the summit.

The robodog was quickly identified by internet users as the Unitree Go2, sold by China’s Unitree Robotics.

Neha Singh, a professor at the Galgorias University, later said she never claimed the dog was university’s own creation.

Along with the robodog scandal, the university’s “Thermocol Drone Model” has caused quite the stir on social media.

The institute displayed a drone model made of thermocol and plastic and claimed it to be as India’s first drone soccer drone built from scratch.

Later it was exposed as being originally from Korea as Korean Stryker V3 ARF model.
