Weather changes in North India, drizzle starts in Delhi
These days, unusual fluctuations are being seen in the weather of North India. On one hand, light rain due to the influence of western disturbance in many parts of Punjab and Haryana has increased the feeling of coolness. On the other hand, in most areas of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, heat like conditions have started being felt in the middle of February itself. This seasonal paradox has surprised people.
Drizzle and light rain in many districts of Punjab since morning
Due to the impact of the latest weather system, drizzle and light rain was recorded in various districts of Punjab since morning. Similarly, there were light showers in Gurugram, Haryana, due to which a slight drop in the temperature was recorded. The India Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert for these areas, warning that winds could blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour and there was a possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places. This rain may cause a slight increase in cold and people may get relief for some time.
On the contrary, in many cities of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh the temperature is being recorded 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature in Delhi has reached between 26 to 29 degrees Celsius, which is considered higher than the average at this time. Whereas in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur and Noida of Uttar Pradesh, people are experiencing slight heat in the afternoon due to strong sunlight. Due to this change in weather, people have also started wearing light clothes.
Possibility of light rain in Delhi-NCR
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dusty winds and light rain at isolated places in the Delhi-NCR region during the next 24 to 48 hours. This may cause a temporary decrease in temperature, but after this there is a possibility of the temperature increasing again. On the other hand, due to slow wind, the pollution level in the capital and surrounding areas still remains in the poor category, with the air quality index being recorded between 200 and 300.
Experts believe that similar fluctuations in the weather may continue in the coming days, due to which people will continue to experience a mixed experience of cold in the morning and evening and mild heat during the day.
