YouTube’s parent company Google has blamed ‘Backend Configuration Error’ for this outage. According to the company’s engineers: Server overload: Due to lack of coordination between heavy traffic and internal system updates, the main server stopped responding. Software bug: A small bug in the system had blocked the data processing unit, due to which the video stream stopped. Questions being raised about security.
