Threat to bomb Punjab Secretariat, heavy police force deployed
The administration has become fully alert after receiving a bomb threat to the Punjab Secretariat located in Chandigarh. The secretariat administration received a suspicious email, in which there was a warning of targeting the building with an explosion. As soon as this information came to light, there was panic among the police and security agencies and precautionary measures were immediately taken.
Deploying large number of policemen
As soon as information about the threat was received, the Secretariat premises were surrounded by security. In view of any possible threat, a large number of policemen have been deployed. Security checks have been made more stringent at all entry and exit points of the Secretariat. Every person and vehicle coming and going there is being searched thoroughly, so that any suspicious activity can be stopped in time.
This building is considered very sensitive as it is the main center of administrative activities of the state. In such a situation, the authorities immediately implemented security protocols without any delay. Senior administrative officials and police officers took stock of the situation at the spot and gave instructions to strengthen the security arrangements.
After the threatening emails came to light, cyber experts and special police teams have been deployed in the investigation. Cyber cell is trying to find out from where this email was sent and which person or group could be behind it. Investigative agencies are thoroughly examining the technical aspects of the emails, such as IP addresses and other digital clues, to ascertain the truth.
Security tightened in and around the secretariat
At present, the security arrangements in and around the Secretariat have been completely tightened and every activity is being monitored. Officials say that people do not need to panic, because the security agencies are fully alert and are constantly monitoring the situation.
The administration has clarified that this matter is being taken seriously and strict action will be taken against the person or group making the threat by identifying them. Till the investigation is completed, the security arrangements in the Secretariat premises will be kept stronger than before, so that any untoward incident can be prevented.
