Public representative will have to answer the phone within 10 minutes, failing which he will get alert, initiative of Yogi government

Better coordination will be established between the Uttar Pradesh government, public representatives and government officials. A new initiative has started in this regard. Now if any officer or MLA, MP or other public representative does not answer the phone within 10 minutes, then they will get an immediate alert from the command center established at the district level. It will be necessary to immediately call back and talk to the officer. To implement this system, a special app named ‘Samvad Setu’ will be developed.

Preparing to launch the app

In fact, complaints are continuously coming to the fore from the officials in the UP Assembly about the public representatives not picking up their calls. Now Yogi government is preparing to launch this app. Social Welfare Minister Aseem Arun had suggested implementing this system. This app will work on CUG (Central User Group) numbers of government officials. This will ensure that the calls of public representatives get priority and their complaints or suggestions are resolved promptly.

Pilot project will start from four districts

This initiative will start as a pilot project from 25th February. Currently, preparations are on to implement it in Hardoi, Ghaziabad and Kannauj districts. There will be District Contact and Command Centers (DCCC) in these districts. They will monitor through Samvad Setu app. If any officer does not respond within the stipulated time limit, the command center will immediately intervene. Will issue an alert for this. This step has come to light after the matters raised in the Assembly. Here the public representatives had lodged a complaint against the officials for not picking up the phone or answering the calls. The government believes that this will solve public problems faster.
