Bangladesh bans use of its airspace for SpiceJet, know what is the whole matter
SpiceJet banned from Bangladesh airspace : Bangladesh has barred SpiceJet from using its airspace to settle outstanding dues. Due to Bangladesh airspace not being available, the airline is taking longer routes for some of its flights including Kolkata to Guwahati. The airline says it is working for a quick solution.

According to news agency PTI, sources said Bangladesh has barred SpiceJet from using its airspace as the budget airline has not yet paid the dues. When contacted on Thursday, a SpiceJet spokesperson said the airline is in regular discussions with the concerned authorities on operational and procedural matters, including navigation-related charges.
SpiceJet signs MoU for 10 aircraft
Indian airline SpiceJet on Thursday, February 19, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to add 10 more aircraft. The move will more than double its capacity by 2026, as well as accelerate efforts to expand operations and rebuild its network. The move follows the board’s approval last week to gradually expand the fleet to 60 aircraft, combining wet and damp lease with the gradual return of grounded planes.
