Dr. DY Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune Conducts Community Health Campaign ‘Mahaarogya Abhiyan’

Pimpri, Pune, Feb 19th: Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune, is organising ‘Mahaarogya Abhiyan’, a mega health campaign, in honour of the birth anniversaries of Hon’ble Dr. P. D. Patil, Chancellor (17th February); Hon’ble Dr. Smita Jadhav, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Secretary (17th February); and Hon’ble Dr. Yashraj P. Patil, Trustee and Treasurer (19th February). The initiative is being organised under the guidance and vision of Hon’ble Dr. (Mrs.) Bhagyashree Patil, Pro-Chancellor and Hon’ble Dr. Somanath Patil who serves as Pro-Chancellor of Dnyaan Prasad Global University.

The two-week health campaign will be conducted from 15th to 28th February 2026, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, at the High-Tech Basement OPD premises of Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune. The initiative aims to ensure equitable access to high-quality healthcare services, particularly for underprivileged and below-poverty-line patients, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to community health and social responsibility.

As part of the initiative, beneficiaries will receive a 50% concession on OPD investigations and IPD treatments under the following schemes:

  • Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana
  • Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat)
  • Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram
  • National Blindness Control Programme
  • State Blood Transfusion Programme

Clinical and surgical services include:

  • All minor and major surgeries
  • Angioplasty and cardiac surgeries
  • Pediatric surgeries and pediatric cardiac surgeries
  • Surgery for congenital conditions including cleft lip
  • Squint surgery
  • Cochlear implant
  • Free cataract surgery
  • Free cervical cancer screening (Pap smear) and breast cancer screening (mammography)
  • Free normal delivery and Caesarean delivery

Special highlight:

  • Angiography at a concessional rate of Rs. 3999 only
  • Mega blood donation camp

The campaign is specially designed to benefit marginalized and economically disadvantaged sections of society. Eligible beneficiaries are required to present valid documentation, including White, Orange or Yellow Ration Card, PMJAY Card (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana), Aadhaar Card, along with previous medical treatment reports, to avail services under the scheme.

Dr. H. H. Chavan, Medical Superintendent, DPU Super Specialty Hospital, Pimpri, Pune, is supervising the overall planning, coordination and operational execution of the Mahaarogya Abhiyan. Under his guidance, the campaign is being systematically executed to ensure that its benefits consistently and meaningfully reach the intended community.
