Delhi Police Traffic Advisory: In view of the VVIP movement during the ongoing AI Summit at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory. Police have advised people to avoid some major routes and use alternative routes. According to the advisory, special traffic arrangements will be in force between 5 pm and 9 pm on Thursday. During this time, traffic around the venue may be affected due to security reasons.
The traffic system of the capital was badly affected on Wednesday due to VIP movement for the AI Summit organized at Bharat Mandapam. Delhi Police had issued advisory regarding traffic stop and diversion on many nearby main roads from 4 pm to 10 pm. Despite this, there was a brake on the speed of Delhi and long queues of vehicles were seen on many major routes. People returning from office faced a lot of trouble, while traffic continued to move at a slow pace in some areas for quite some time. The police called these steps necessary for security reasons and appealed to the people to adopt alternative routes. According to officials, during VIP movement, traffic was temporarily stopped or diverted in sensitive areas, leading to traffic jams.

Police have appealed to the common citizens to avoid the affected routes, check traffic updates before travelling, use alternative routes, follow the instructions of the policemen.
