Peace committee meeting under the chairmanship of Trump today, will discuss Gaza rehabilitation
Washington. A meeting of the peace committee formed for the rehabilitation of war-torn Gaza will be held on Thursday under the chairmanship of US President Donald Trump. Representatives of 20 member countries including Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates will participate in the Gaza Peace Committee meeting to be held at the US Institute of Peace in Washington.
Committee member states are expected to contribute up to $5 billion for the reconstruction of Gaza, which will be announced during the meeting. It is noteworthy that after the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, US President Trump formed a peace board in Davos in January.
Initially the purpose of formation of this board was to monitor the post-war situation in Gaza but soon its scope was expanded to include the objective of global peace. The special thing is that the US President has been given approval to remain the chairman of this board indefinitely.
