America-Russia face to face regarding Middle East, Moscow gives special advice to Iran
New Delhi: Tension between Iran and America has reached its peak in the Middle East. America has rapidly increased its military strength in the region. According to reports, the American army is ready to attack Iran. In the last few days, America has deployed dozens of fighter planes (F-35, F-22, F-16), two aircraft carriers and thousands of soldiers.
Arms and ammunition have been delivered by more than 150 military flights. Some sources claim that America may take action by the weekend or in the coming weeks. US President Donald Trump wants an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program, otherwise he is threatening military action. The White House says diplomacy is the first choice, but Iran would be wise to compromise.
Russia calls for restraint
Meanwhile, Russia has given a big statement. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that tensions in the region have reached unprecedented levels. Russia is strengthening its relations with Iran and recently the two countries conducted joint naval exercises. Peskov clarified that these exercises were planned in advance.
He strongly advised Iran’s friends and all parties in the region to exercise restraint and caution. Russia is talking about giving priority to political and diplomatic methods. Peskov expressed hope that a solution would be found only through talks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also warned America that any new attack on Iran would bring serious consequences.
Situation in Iran and Russia–Iran relations
Iran is rejecting Trump’s demands, especially on highly enriched uranium and missile programs. America’s focus is on Iran’s nuclear program, while Israel is worried about ballistic missiles.
Russia is a close ally of Iran and both the countries have stood together even during the Ukraine crisis. This statement of Russia is like cautioning Iran to avoid conflict with America. Russia does not want war to break out in the region, because it will affect global stability.
