Title of film ‘Ghooshkhor Pandat’ changed, court orders not to register new FIR
New Delhi. The producer of the film ‘Ghooskhor Pandit’ told the Supreme Court that he did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments and the title of the film has been withdrawn. While disposing of the petition related to this, the court said that now no new FIR should be registered regarding this film. The court said that the ongoing controversy over this film should now be closed.
The film’s producer Neeraj Pandey has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that I or my production house had no intention of hurting the sentiments of any religion, caste or community. The film is a fictional police drama, based on the investigation of a crime. There is no insult to any caste, religion or community shown in the film.
The affidavit states that the old name of the film ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’ has been withdrawn. The new name has not been decided yet, but the new name will be completely different, so that there is no controversy again. Currently, all the promotional materials, posters and trailers related to the name of this film have been withdrawn.
