Demand for action on AI summit stall controversy: Priyanka Chaturvedi!
He told IANS that the way the university was given a big platform had created confusion in the country and sent a wrong message in the name of so-called innovation. This development gave an opportunity to the outside media for publicity, which is unfortunate.
He said that if strict scrutiny, standard procedure and clear checklist were in place for pavilion and stall allotment before the AI Summit, such a situation could have been avoided.
The Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha member also said that it is not enough for the government to give instructions to vacate the stalls concerned. Accountability should be fixed in this matter and appropriate action should be taken against the concerned institution, so that such disputes do not arise in future.
The Rajya Sabha member also commented on the situation of India Block. He said that when this alliance was formed, its impact was clearly visible in the Lok Sabha elections. This alliance presented a strong alternative political platform and left the Bharatiya Janata Party dependent on allies, keeping it away from an absolute majority.
He expressed concern that no major alliance meeting was held thereafter nor did any concrete initiative appear to carry forward that momentum. He said that there are many big challenges before the country and if the India Alliance has to win the trust of the public, it will have to move forward with a clear agenda and strong unity.
