Rajpal Yadav reveals the first thing he did after bail, thanks film industry | Exclusive

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who was granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court on February 17, in an interview with News9, talked about his days after bail. He revealed the first thing he did after getting bail and talked about the lessons he learnt from the ordeal.

The actor divulged that he immediately came to his village after the bail to attend his niece’s wedding. Speaking of the life lessons the last unexpected chapter taught him, Rajpal stated, “There’s always a lesson to learn in life. Every day is a new morning, a new chapter. I think I’ve learned a lot, but most importantly, stay connected with your family and surroundings. Be happy and wish everyone else the same. I’ll try to be part of everyone’s happiness.”

He also claimed that he didn’t miss anything when he was in jail, as one had to forget to miss.

“You miss things that you forget. And what’s there with you always, you don’t miss. I never miss anything,” said the actor.

Rajpal had surrendered at Tihar Jail on February 5 after the Delhi High Court demanded his custody in a cheque-bounce case. The hearing for the case is scheduled for March 18. Speaking of the next court date, the actor commented, “Yes. I have notified every media outlet and journalists that I will hold a press conference and speak about the legal matters after consulting my legal team. I won’t be able to reveal anything much at this moment.”

Amid the hardships, the actor’s family was hopeful that he could get bail. When asked about the support shown by his brother, Rajpal stated, “I hope everyone gets brothers like I have – elder and younger. My family is and will always be my strength. I believe in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. The whole world is my family. I think I have entered every family’s home through entertainment. I genuinely feel that it’s a special bond with everyone who watches us entertain them. And I genuinely wish everyone well, whether they like me or not.”

He then thanked Bollywood and his counterparts for helping him financially as he and his family navigated the hardship.

“I’m here because of the help from film industry. Indian cinema has given me everything. I’ve received love from across generations that’s why I have managed to survive in Mumbai city for almost three decades. I’ll complete thirty years in the city in 2027. I express my heartfelt thanks to the film industry for supporting me at every stage in my career and life,” said the 54-year-old.

Talking about his aspirations in the film industry, Rajpal stated that he would continue to act, regardless of the type of project. “Acting is my passion. I live acting. It gives my satisfaction and happiness. As far as making a living is concerned, my basics have always been covered. I am very grateful for that,” said the star.
