Kannada actor and filmmaker Raj B Shetty is now all set to make his acting debut in Tamil cinema with the upcoming movie Pocket Novel, which is being directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja.
Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan are playing the lead roles in the movie Pocket Novel, while Kishore appears in a pivotal role. Having already made his presence felt in Hindi and Malayalam cinema, Rai B Shottv now enters Kollywood with Kumararaja’s third feature film, following the critically acclaimed Aaranya Kaandam and Super Deluxe.
The film boasts an impressive technical crew, with legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja handling the music. Sharing an update on the progress, the director revealed that the composing work is almost complete. The team is planning to wrap up the shoot in a single schedule, with short gaps in between.
“The composing is almost over. We are planning to wrap up the shoot in ome schedule with small gaps in between. As of now, the plan is to release the film in the fourth quarter of 2026,” said Thiagarajan Kumararaja.
Pocket Novel is currently slated for a release in the fourth quarter of 2026. The story and screenplay have been penned by Thiagarajan Kumararaja along with Andrew Louis, who is best known for films like Leelai and Kolaikaran, as well as the web series Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie.
Among the technical crew, Nirav Shah serves as the cinematographer, while Yugabharathi has been roped in as the lyricist.
