Delhi. On Thursday, gold prices rose by Rs 365 to Rs 1,56,126 per 10 grams in futures trade due to buying of fresh deals by speculators amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of the contract for delivery in the month of April increased by Rs 365, or 0.23 percent, to Rs 1,56,126 per 10 grams.

1,071 lots were traded in this. Market analysts said buying of fresh deals by traders led to the rise in gold futures prices. Globally, gold rose 0.48 percent to $ 5,001.54 an ounce in New York.

Silver prices rose by Rs 1,037 to Rs 2,45,305 per kg in futures trade on Thursday as traders increased the size of their deals amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contract for delivery in March increased by Rs 1,037, or 0.42 percent, to Rs 2,45,305 per kg.

1,589 lots were traded in this. Market analysts said silver futures prices rose due to buying of fresh deals by traders due to a firm trend in the domestic market. Globally, silver price in New York rose by 1.46 percent to $ 78.32 an ounce.
