PM Modi inaugurates AI Impact Summit, bilateral meeting with heads of states and CEOs of global companies
New Delhi, 19 February. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday evening. The government says that this summit is a historic global meeting on Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Digital Cooperation.
On this occasion, PM Modi addressed the delegates from all over the world in his inaugural speech. On this occasion, the Prime Minister emphasized India’s vision for inclusive and responsible AI. He called for deeper collaboration between governments, industry and academia to use technology for the good of people. He stressed that AI should be accessible, equitable and aligned with democratic values.

After the inauguration of the summit, PM Modi participated in the Leaders Plenary Session. Under this, heads of state, ministers and technology leaders from different countries discussed the future of AI governance, cross-border partnerships and innovation ecosystem.
During the summit, the Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Switzerland and Greece. During this, he emphasized on strengthening strategic partnerships in emerging technology, digital infrastructure, clean energy, trade and investment.

Participated in high-level CEO forum
After this the Prime Minister participated in a high-level CEOs Forum. More than 50 global business leaders participated in it. The closed-door talks focused on investment opportunities in India’s digital economy, AI-based innovation and the regulatory framework to support new technologies. Policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and startups from all over the world participated in the AI Impact Summit. With this, India has become an important voice in shaping the global AI agenda.
