Lucknow. A big relief has been announced for the land owners of Uttar Pradesh and the people coming for registration. While making changes in the timings and roster of the registry offices, the State Stamp and Registration Department has said that in the tehsils where there are more than one sub-registrar offices, now the facility of registry will be available on Sunday also.
Change in land registry roster
According to the government order issued by Inspector General Neha Sharma, in tehsils where there are more than one Deputy Registrar offices, one office will remain open on Sunday. Apart from this, many important changes have been made in the new roster so that the registry services can become easy, transparent and convenient. Most of the people who registered came from other cities or states and had to take additional leave as Sunday was a holiday. Keeping this in mind, the department has taken this big step.
Time and Online Appointment
According to Lucknow’s Assistant Commissioner Stamp II Ramesh Kumar, in Sadar tehsil where there are five sub-registrar offices, one office will be opened from 1 pm to 8 pm. Online appointment for registry can be taken from 1 pm to 7 pm. Timings in the remaining offices will remain as before, from 10 am to 5 pm. The office opened on Sunday will be closed on the next Saturday. If it is the second Saturday of the month, then Friday will be a holiday.
Applicable area in the state
The benefit of this system will be available to the people living in Sarojininagar and Mohanlalganj tehsils of Lucknow, where there is more than one sub-registrar office. Since there is only one sub-registrar office in Bakshi Ka Talab and Malihabad tehsil, the same system as before will be applicable there.

Apart from this, representatives associated with land purchase in the development schemes of various departments will also get the facility to reach the office in the evening. This step will not only provide relief to the common people, but the work related to land and property can be completed with speed and transparency.
