Major action by police, illegal marijuana plants worth Rs 1.49 crore seized
Bhopal. Khargone Police has achieved a major success in the series of strict and continuous actions being taken against illegal drugs in Madhya Pradesh.
Under Operation “Prahar”, Khargone Police, while taking effective action against the illegal ganja cultivators in Outpost Helapadawa, Police Station Chainpur area, has seized 5900 ganja plants from two different places, whose total weight is 2979 kg 840 grams and the estimated value is Rs 1 crore 49 lakh 4 thousand 200.
This action was taken in a remote and shadow area (no mobile network zone), where the police team had to work in difficult conditions for several hours. Police Headquarters informed on Thursday that under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ravindra Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Bittu Sehgal, on the information of an informer, a total of 5500 ganja plants were seized from a farm located in village Sendriya Ghatiguwada.
Whose total weight is 2811 kg, estimated price is Rs 1 crore 40 lakh 55 thousand. Similarly, in another action, the police seized a total of 400 ganja plants from a farm located in village Tikhlibaidipdijamli, whose total weight was 168 kg 840 grams and the estimated value was said to be Rs 8 lakh 49 thousand 200.
